Diamondback Release 3
$3,500.00
A privateer is a top-level rider who hits the trails without the benefit of a fancy sponsorship deal. Their ideal rig? A blue-collar machine that doesn't skimp on performance. That sums up the Release 3 perfectly. The heart of the bike is our artfully shaped and butted aluminum frame with brisk-pedaling Level Link suspension. A Fox 34 Performance Float 150mm travel fork and Fox Float DPX2 rear shock work in perfect tandem to obliterate tooth-rattling hits on even the longest of descents. Shimano's reliable XT 11-speed drivetrain components offer up seasons of accurate shifts, while the Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes continue to impress with their excellent balance of pucker power and finesse. Other brag-worthy components include our burly Blanchard tubeless-ready wheelset, Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR tires, and a KS LEV Si dropper post. The Release 3-pro-caliber quality for those of us with day jobs. - Level Link design equals 130mm of efficient yet supple rear suspension - Boost 148x12mm Maxle dropout adds even more stiffness to the hydroformed aluminum frame - KS LEV Si dropper post w/Southpaw remote improves maneuverability on descents - Powerful Shimano XT M8000 hydraulic disc brakes (180mm rotors front and rear) - Crisp, confident shifting via Shimano XT 11-speed drivetrain paired with Race Face Turbine Cinch cranks
Diamondback Release 1
$2,499.00
The Release 1 is proof positive that getting a great bike doesn't always require that you fork over a great big pile of cash. Built from a light, yet tough aluminum frame, this all-mountain ripper features our much-lauded Level Link suspension design, which isolates chain forces from trail inputs. Or, to employ less tech-geek speak, the suspension doesn't bob when you stomp on the pedals, yet becomes extremely plush the moment your wheels start smacking roots and rocks. Our entry-level Release 1 is actually anything but "entry". We’ve equipped it with an SR Suntour Aion suspension fork with an SR Suntour EDGE R rear shock, our Blanchard tubeless-ready wheelset, and SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain components. TRP Slate X2 hydraulic disc brakes help bring you to a stop, though stopping is probably going to be the last thing you want to do once you bring this bike up to speed.
